Interior Design Lights Not Illuminating

I noticed last night while driving in the dark the interior design lights (that you can change colors through idrive) were not lighting up. This is the ambient lighting on the doors and dash. Anyone else ran into this?

The ambient lights are also working in daylight, even though are not that visible.
Are they enabled in iDrive? Is the brightness set to max?

Yes and yes. Tried to change the color to see if that would do the trick but nope.

I was thinking the same but last night they were working. So not sure what's going on. I'll keep this thread updated.

I had 1 go out, the fiber optic cable broke somehow. Dealer had to order new parts, was fixed under warranty.

For them to all go out at the same time, I'd think it's an electrical or programming issue, probably not the individual optics.

FYI, haven't had an issue since that one night...weird but I'll take it.

Are ALL of the lights not working? Or just some?

I just had a problem with the door lighting not working and fixed it by connecting a disconnected wire behind the cluster (the power connections for the ambient lighting are located behind the cluster).

Yeah, but isn't it something you failed to connect while changing out the cluster? Mine has not occurred since that one night and all lights worked except ambient lights. I had not messed with the car electronically at all so not sure why it happened, but hasn't happened since.

my F30 (2014) the right back door the ambient light isn't working. All the other 3 are working well. What can this be?

Perhaps the lighting element burned out.
