Kind of an absurd question, but I am just paranoid.

Would having a BlackVue 2ch Dashcam connected with the BlackVue Magic Pro risk having BMW void the warranty?

I have to take my 18 X6 in for service because the driver's window is squealing when closing. First time taking it in for service since having a body shop I trust install the blackvue cameras and magic pro for me.

Because of the Magic Pro, every morning (after theX6 hasn't been used for 8-10 hours) I get a message saying that there is "unusual battery discharge" and the door handle touch-to-open feature is disabled but the rest of the car is fine and it recharges after a few minutes.

I assume that is occurring because the camera is taking a small trickle charge but I don't want the dealership to notice that message and say the BlackVue Camera and Magic Pro is a mod that is causing damage to the car.

Anyway, any chance they could void the warranty with the camera and magic pro? I am being too paranoid?

The truth, yes they can and they might.
But, as applied to any other mods, they have to proof that in fact the aftermarket parts is the one causing the damage.

FYI though, the Power Magic Pro is not configured properly if you get that message.

Ah, well for now its not causing any damage (hopefully).

But in terms of them simply marking it for having aftermarket mods because they noticed it was installed, there shouldn't be any issues -- yes?

I figured its not configured correctly. I assume the fuse setting is incorrect?

Even with a professional install of the PMP I found alot of bmws who use there cams alot for park mode are having the battery warning message issue. My F16 had the same issue when I used parking mode constantly with PMP when I turned on car I would get the attention message then there would be glitches like seats not adjusting and phone not charging thru cig socket. I Just ended up getting the cellink neo battery pack and never had problems anymore for long hours of parked mode. Might be a bit pricey for a battery (around 320$) but well worth it

You could always turn the PMP off when you go in for service.

Rear camera blackvue dr900s

Hi. I have purchased the DR900S-2CH including install but have been told that because of the slope on the rear window it will be impossible to mount the rear camera to be of any use. Can somebody please advise.

Can someone tell me which fuses to use to wire the magic pro unit? Cant figure it out. I know I need to wire red to acc+ yellow to constant and ground. Tried a bunch of them tonight its either my meter does not work correctly or i'm not getting enough voltage.. If anyone can upload a picture showing the actual wiring in the fuse box I would highly appreciate it. F16 X6

the thing with a lot of german cars, most if not all of them keep live accessory power for another 15 mins of so, even after u have completely shut down. this makes it really hard to find a switched accessory line to tap into. i ended up just taping directly into the battery as a constant, and tap into which ever fuse that has power when i press the ignition button as a switched accessory power.

I installed the blackvue 2ch DR900S and you can mount it perfectly and see out of both cameras fine. I ran my wires along the passenger side a pill through the headliner passenger side and to the rear camera and rear passenger fuse box for PMP. Work amazing and I haven't had and battery drain issues.have had it installed for 6 months now. And also have a sound system 3 amplifiers and don't get battery drain issues.
