Maintenance Contract - worth it or not?

I just bought a CPO 2016 X5 sDrive.

49k miles on the car. Right after I bought the car I complained about the brakes pulsing and the dealer re-surfaced the rear rotors and installed brand new brake pads on the rear.

The front brakes need to be serviced and 3000 miles according to the estimate in iDrive.

The dealer quoted me $1100 for a one year maintenance warranty. So anything that needs routine maintenance in the next 12 months will be covered but I am out of pocket $1100 upfront.

Given that my car just had the rear brakes serviced I'm thinking the only obvious item I could deal with in the next year would be front brakes and rotors and if I chose to go to an independent mechanic I can probably replace those parts for far less than $1100.

What are the routine maintenance items I am overlooking and do you think this is a good deal or what I be stupid to buy it??

That brake change estimate will sit at 3,100 miles forever until it gets reset.
You need to actually check the depth of the pads to see when you need to have them changed. I would definitely pocket that money and take care of the maintenance on my own.

I'm relieved dealer didn't resurfaced pads too and actually went all in and invested into brand new pads. Your dealer is very generous to spent $24 on those OEM rear pads

Beck/Arney pads (#3 under daily driver category for $23.79)

Did you ever watch the FCP Euro video that explains Genuine vs OE parts?

The cost of the Brake Job alone would have more than paid for the extended maintenance which is why I got it. I talked to my SA about upcoming maintenance during the extended maintenance period just to make sure.
