BMW Apps, yey or ney?
Guys,
Wanted to ask, do any of you use BMW Apps? Id like to hear your experience with them and see if you could help me get answers for the following questions: 1-Is it reliable/stable? 2-would it work with Android phones? 3-would any of you happen to us it for Spotify and Pandora? What's your experience with it? 4-been reading a little, seems we cannot code without the FSC code, same I need to purchase, right? Basically my use is to have access to my Spotify and Pandora services while on the road without having to touch my phone... Local law enforcement is cracking down on people using phones while driving... Rather spend the cash in getting the BMW Apps activated (only if you guys are having a good experience with them!!!) than to spend it on a ticket... LOL Thanks in advance!!!

I have ID5/6 in both my vehicles and can confirm Spotify works well with the iPhone 7/8 here in Australia. The Android version does not work when the vehicle is in motion which is annoying. From what I have read on BMW forums, BMW does not cater well for 3rd party Android Apps as it does for Apple. I use both the Apple and Android Connected Drive App in both my BMW's and can confirm the Apple App is more stable and informative than the Android.

No I have not as I have a NBT2 unit that is running ID5 that I have now upgraded to ID6 Lite via Esys coding. The BT update as far as I am aware of, is only for the older NBT units that are running ID4.
