Hi All,

I bought a 2015 BMW X5 Xdrive 50i recently and i observed the vehicle is going low (level from tires) by the morning and compressor is trying to pump the air in to air springs in the morning when even ever i start the car. Is this common to drop air by the morning ( overnight) , should i replace the air springs ?

iPhone not charging from X5 2016 USB port

Hi can someone please tell why my iPhone 7 Plus switches on after I plug it in the X5 USB and switch off after charging starts. When phone is switched off while plugged in to USB it charges faster, but each time I switch the phone off it switches on again, could this be due to a power fluctuation? Same with my IPad mini, which I never charge using the car. Some times the iPhone want charge at all.
Thanks

Hi
X5 2016 favourite music list is not available after a software update. This list got automatically added with the frequently played MP3 songs. So automatically I ended up with favourite play list. Now even the menu item is not there.

Has anyone had the same experience? How to get this cool feature enabled again.

Thanks

X5 console mood light not working

Hi does the X5 2016 have a center console area
light to lit up the cigarette lighter and cup holder area at the front, just below the radio memory buttons?
Is this light red colour.
I remember having this but does not work anymore.
Thanks

Hey man I live in Toronto and had the same problem. The noise on my car came from the trunk spring. No part was replaced, but the technician did do some adjustment. It's trial and error. Try another dealership if BMW toronto won't acknowledge the problem.

Not long ago I heard a horrible rattle sound from the back of my car. I stopped by a dealer in Toronto, Canada.

The first time, he did not hear anything. The second time, he told me that it is a plastic trim and that is fine. The third time, they told me that that is normal for a 2-year-old car and they will not be able to help me.

The video of the sound I recorded today can be found here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_F..._AluGGjhPgWVj6

Have you faced with the similar issue? If so, how did you fix it?

Thank you so much for your help! Appreciate your advice.

X5 made its first trip to the dealer for some non scheduled repairs.

I haven't brought up yet until my warranty is closer to being done but my steering column is getting noisy.

I got the "wrong fluid added" error and CEL.
a NOX sensor is to be replaced on Monday.

Lastly the driver side vents are blowing warm air , cold air , warm air. I had the same issue with my GMC pickup. Which turns out to be the same problem here. A Blend door actuator need to be replaced which means the whole dash has to be removed. GREAT.

2015 x5 35d - 45,000km.. not miles.

Just picked up a CPO 2015 X5 50i xDrive the other night.

I had to drive about 2 hours to pick it up and sadly I had the drivetrain malfunction pop up halfway home.

Once the malfunction popped up, the truck went into limp mode and loss power.

Took it to the dealer closer to my house and they replaced the high pressure fuel pump.

All is well now. Hopefully that's the first and last of my troubles of having the car for less than half a day.

I've had a couple of issues recently with my 2015 X5 35d I thought I'd pass along. Just before my factory warranty expired (thankfully!), my fuel pump died and in the process threw small pieces of metal into the fuel system - tank, lines, and injectors. All of the fuel system was replaced under warranty. I was told that BMW was seeing quite a few of these failures, so heads-up out there! Yesterday, my CEL came on and she's back in the dealership today with a faulty EGR cooler. That's being repaired, and my understanding is that this is also a known issue that BMW is repairing under a "campaign".

Are there other frequent issues that I should be aware of? Trying to decide whether to keep her. <edit> She has 45.5K miles on her. </edit>

Need some help with my X6 that I just got.

It came with the 599 21" wheels with Summer tires.

I really dont want to run a double wheel setup and would like to get an all season set of tires.

What are my options for those 21" wheels? There are no 325/285 staggered all seasons. I dont mind going square, if possible.

21" is not a common size, your options are limited and the tires aren't cheap. I have 21" too but running a double setup.

I had the same problem with the noisy steering column...actually it was loud AF. Anyway, there is a "bulletin" out for this with the dealerships so it should be a no-brainer. Mine's been fine since they fixed it last year.

Rear air springs/suspension air bags failed, and the car was 2 weeks out of warranty when we brought it to the dealership. They won't cover it.

The other detail. We went to dealer #1 in August and they told us the warranty expired in July. In October when we visited dealer #2 and they fixed an oil filter housing leak under warranty. The car had a 'demo extension warranty' they were able to see and we got a repair under warranty at that point. Is it worth complaining to dealer #1 or going to BMW NA about this to get the air bag issue covered? Wife also has pictures and video showing the issue occured while the demo extension warranty was in effect.

Had an issue when I first drove my car since I noticed a squeeze coming right from the tailgate but couldn' say for sure where from. Finally I took it to an authorized garage and found out that was coming from the isolation rubbers from tailgate. There is a specific lubricant-like product from BMW that fixes the problem. It costs around €40. Attention; use only the original one since an imitation or Vaseline-like products could damage the rubbers.

Usually squeeze occurred in slight anomalies of the street, sudden braking, road humps.

When you say squeeze, do you mean like a squeaking or creaking sound from the tailgate? Did it happen more when you when over certain bumps, or on incline turns (like turning into the parking lot at a mall and there's a ramp)?

I ask because that's what happens to mine lol.

I picked up my 2015 X5 5.0 in September coming off a lease with 34,000 miles on the clock. When I brought it in to the dealer the first week for inspection I mentioned that the brakes were spongy and that the steering column position controls (up/down, in/out) were intermittent. Dealer replaced the column and installed new brake pads/rotors all around under warranty.

I define Spongy as - soft pedal feel, having to press too hard for the amount of braking you are getting. Not a firm, confident feel while braking. Sort of like stepping on a sponge.

Hope that makes sense.
