X6 F16 Audio Issues over Bluetooth

My fellow X owners, good day

This forum has great contents, thank you all for sharing knowledge and experience.

One issue that has been bugging me since i got my MY2016 X6 is the audio delay over Bluetooth, here is what i'm having
- Audi from Facebook & Co. apps (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) is not playing over Bluetooth
- YouTube occasionally (well, most of the time) plays but with a delay that ranges from 2-5 seconds

I tried to upgrade the system from BMW website, but no luck.

Edit: I use iPhone X with the latest and not so greatest OS.

Are you facing such a thing? Any tried and tested resolutions thus far?

Thank you

I've experienced a delay in response from the system while using bluetooth streaming from an iphone XS. For example, I want to skip a song via the forward button-it doesn't respond at all at times or will have a significant delay. Also the screen doesn't update at times with the current data. I will remove profiles and report back.

I removed the iPhone profile from the car, and removed the car profile from the iPhone, but i'm left with the same behavior after pairing them again.

I have exactly the same issue. It is like a lag, sometimes very long lag. Sometimes idrive just does not complete command such as "next" or "previous" or else. Needless to say nothing can be done about it according to the dealer. They just don't see a problem.

There is nothing that will fix it - BT implementation is just very flaky.

I still think there should be some sort of software patch that will fix the issue.

Reason i'm saying this is that i once had a similar sync issue with my 1st gen Power Beats Bluetooth headset which was completely addressed after a software update.

Oh, I agree with you, it is something which can definitely be fixed. My comment was coming from the fact that I've gone through multiple cars and 4 generations of infotainment systems (CCC, CIC, NBT, NBT Evo), they've all had this issue - if BMW cared to fix it they would have done it by now.
