Model year turnovers
In recent years, X5/X6s change MY in late 1Q or early 2Q. This year, the 2015 X6 won't be out until December; 8 months later than normal.
Do you think that the 2015 run may be short and they'll change over to a 2016 model faster to put them back on schedule? Have they ever done anything like that? |

As I recall, the original 2000 X5 came out in December 1999 and lasted only until June 2000, so just 6 month before the 2001 MY. Bad news for the early adapters.

BMW usually introduce the new MY around Nov/Dec. The X5 was initially introduced in showrooms around November 2013 and I also recall that the 2008 X6 hit the showrooms in October 2007.
I would give the 2015 x6 model a good 10 months before the 2016 model hits the showrooms. |
