Like my Mercedes does anybody know if BMW offers trickle charging through the 12V outlet in the trunk?

Or am I to only use the points under the hood? I'd much rather have my hood and trunk closed and just run my power wire of my Ctek out of the X5's lower trunk

Do you really need it?
When I was traveling for a month, I just left the car and it went to a deep sleep mode by itself.
When I got back after 4-5 weeks away, it still crack up normally.

I doubt it needs it, I drove it once in the last 6 months, it did crank up first go no issues. But why test my luck when I have spare tenders in the garage.

I drive mine about once or twice a week usually about 20 miles and the other day when I tried to unlock the car as usual with comfort access it didn't work. I had to use the fob to unlock the car. Then when I pressed to start I got a message about battery high discharge.
