2017 x5 35i- Huge oil leak

Wondering if someone can help with what is causing a huge oil leak on a recently purchased 2017 35i x5. Bought car private party and drove it home 800 miles, nothing wrong with drive home just oil needing to be changed current mileage at 31,875 oil due 31,825 which was planning to get changed next day. Parked car when arrived in garage nothing out of the ordinary, next day pull it out and was idling for 10 mins as was adjusting things in garage to have better access and make sure stuff on shelves wouldn’t fall on it. Pull the car in garage and on driveway 2 CD size spots at about where the dashboard lies. A lot of oil and it kept leaking. Shut the car off immediately and checked under the hood if you could see anything obvious but nothing to be seen. This is very concerning as I also own a 2016 535i and has been problem free as well as buddies of mine who have n55s haven’t had anything like this happen. Please let me know if you have any idea or experienced this? The car is still under warranty until 02/21, but it’s cutting it close.

Well I'm being serious. It could have been coolant, or heck, ac water.

The taste test is mandatory to find leaks..

but i guess its just a/c condensation.

If you are 100% sure this is oil leaking and it is still under warranty-just bring it in. That is what the warranty is for.

Yea just take it in. Crazy to be a major oil leak with such low miles. Check your oil level in idrive.

OP says private party purchase, I am not sure if any warranty transferred. I would think that there is still some warranty left until 50,000mi. If you feeling adventurous poke around with a flashlight, perhaps remove some covers below and take a look.

OP said it is 2017 with 32K miles so it is under factory warranty.

Well, we can say the same thing about your original post. Just take it into the dealership and make it easy on yourself.

If it tastes like:
Dirt = Oil
Sweet = Anti-freeze/coolant
No taste = condensation
Soapy = Washer Fluid
Orangey = Blinker Fluid
