Hi Everyone,
I purchased these battery power doors sills for my 2015 X6M. They fit on my X6, but the sills just don't light up. I did attached the magnet sensors under the both doors by following the instructions. Does anyone has similar issue? How to resolve this? |

Hi,
Thanks. I get it figure out and it works on my door sills. The reason that doors sills not light out correctly, because of the distance is too big between the sills and magnetic sensors. Once the door sills can not detect these two tiny sensors, they fail to light up. After few failed attempts, I found a very good solution to fix this. I attached two Smart Alarm Magnetic sensors under the doors. And their size just perfect to fit gap between doors and sills. Finally the door sills just light up beautifully. FYI, the magnetic sensors that I used are leftover spares parts in my house. I didn't spend a penny on this fix. Here is the image of the sensor: Here you can buy the sensor from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/iSmartAlarm-iS...talarm+sensors Last edited by Eyewire; 12-28-2015 at 09:26 PM.. |

The magnet has to be in the exact location under the door in order for those lights to work. It took some trial and error to get it to work. Try putting the magnet piece on top of the sill itself and move it around until it lights up. From that point, try to put it in the same place under the door.

I'll try to take a picture sometime today but it's hard to tell from a picture where it goes. The only way to really know is to actually experiment by putting the magnet piece right on top of the sill itself and then extrapolating the location on the underside of the door. It's trial and error really. Don't be shy to give it a shot...you'll get it to work.

Still have them and they're awesome. Would recommend "BMW" ones to those of m performance, as they light up more (incl. lines), but of course a matter of personal preference.
