Suspension struts replacement

Has anyone found a reliable replacement for suspension struts of F15, with VDC (electronic control of dampening)?

Arnott, which produces replacement struts essentially deletes the VDC function. Aerosus on the other hand look direct replacement for original oem struts and come at a good price. Has anyone tried them or can give feedback?

Also, what other options are out there, which keep the VDC function?

I looked at Arnott and I see the confusing info. The shocks and struts looked to have the solenoids with wiring and not just a resistor but specifications list shows variable damping as "NO". I sent an inquiry via their contact link to get the answer from them.

I got an answer and they service the adaptive dampers with conventional dampers and resistors to fool the system to keep warning lamp and messages off.

Could you share the product link? I have Vdc and the struts seem to cost like 1k usd a pop. I only drive in comfort anyway and am looking for options

Yes, correct. Arnott cancels the VDC function.

Anyone found any reliable replacement struts? Reviews for Aerosus struts do not seem good and the quality of their struts seems questionable. On the other hand, maybe its one of those occasions that you get what you pay.

I’m in the same boat. 90k miles on my 17 X5D and the suspension is feeling crash y like it isn’t damping well. I also saw the OEM EDC struts are $$$$

What about Bilstein B4 or B6 and an EDC delete module? Since non EDC F15’s used B4’s (or the BMW equivalent) it should provide an OEM ride….wondering like you if anyone has advice.

If you delete the EDC def go with the Konis red dampers over the b4. Koni has always been my preferred replacement over the past ~5 BMWs.

How do the red dampers ride? I’m looking for sporty but not super stiff as it’s my wife’s dd. Thanks

My 2015 X5D M sport with 130k kms (80k miles) has been suffering from bouncy ride and am getting the EDC and rear air suspension deleted right now, to be replaced with Bilstein B6 shocks and Eibach Pro springs all 4 corners. The EDC and air suspension can both be coded out (no need for delete modules)

No secondary damper hysteresis, which is fantastic. They’re comfy, but not wallow-y. Takes the edge off sharp impacts but they are more responsive (read, sporty) than the stick stuff.

Basically better than stock in every metric and no compromises that I could find. For aftermarket stuff, that’s very hard to find.

More comfortable than Bilsteins. No loss of performance.
