How does the 3M tape hold them in?

Always wondered if that tape is going to be strong enough for long term hold?

It's pretty sturdy... Don't see any issue so far *knocks on wood*

to be honest double sided tape if applied right will pull off paint before it would come off.

I'm well aware that this isn't a classified section so I'll keep this short: these HRE's are for sale w/ tires if anyone is interested.

Kzang, is that the Terra Dakota interior? How do you like the combo compared to SG with beige for instance? I'm looking at the same combo (SG/TK). It looks great! Thanks.

^^ Yep, my interior leather is Terra Dakota. I originally wanted Mocha dakota leather but it is not available for MC seats. I never considered a light colored interior.

The change over

Nice weather in Toronto inspired me to change over the Winter setup to the Summers. I already miss the look of the black rims...changed the attitude of the X5. I have some thinking to do. She also got her first oil change today @ 6,000 kms (3,700 miles).

A bit early, no? Below +7'C (45'F) are still expected, if you trust The Weather Network, and these Pirellis can handle couple of warm day, I believe.

I know, I pulled the trigger early on the Jeep and we had a major dump the next day. I was good through that nasty weather but we aren't talking the same tires either. It can be a bit risky. Funny I was more concerned about the Winter setup in the +7'C weather. I guess I'll be watching the Weather network a lot and doing a bit of planning ahead LOL.

Also Kzang's been running his OEM setup through the winter in Chicago. I heard of a few more as well doing the same thing. We'll just need to be careful. Good thing those OEM's I have had about 1,000 km's on them before they went into storage. Wish me luck and here is to warm weather

Have to see what the wife thinks of the look versus the black rims. I might start looking at another setup for the summer and just store the OEM's away. Never ends but that is the addiction I have for tires and rims.

I have 2 sets of tires (summer and winter) and still haven't picked up the car ( 2 more weeks). I guess you can't enough wheels so why not go for another set.

I know. The other cars in the stable have multiple sets as well. It's an addiction according to my mechanic who is storing all these sets.

Exciting times ahead for you. Be sure to post the pics when you get her.

As long as I wasn't driving on packed snow on the roads, my summer tires were perfectly fine during winter. I've driven in temps as low as 19F without any slipping, sliding, losing grip, or traction.

A new addition to our X5

A new addition to be joining our 2016 X5 MSport. Upgraded my son's 2005 E46 330 for a M235 XDrive. Saw the colour last night and test drove a M235 this morning. Very similar (seemed identical) technology to our F15 M Sport. This car was so fun to drive. Anyway, I ordered it this morning. Now the dreadful wait for my son begins. BTW, I thought this was really good value for the performance. Now I need to deal with my daughter's E46 Convertible.
