Dealer told me today that new orders have ceased on F15/F16/F85/F86 and if you do not have a number by now deposits will be refunded or placed towards G05/2019 allocation.

It is about 12% off which is not too bad but discounts will increase from here with new model approaching. Get the dealer to send you the full breakdown of all the details of the lease and shop it to every dealer in the region. See if you can max out MSDs to lower payment.

Hopefully an OK deal
We just purchased a stock 2018 X5 Xdrive 35i in Dark Graphite Metallic and black dakota leather interior including:
- Driving assistance package - Parking assistance package - Premium package - Heated steering wheel - Wireless charging Suggested retail: $66,635 Price paid: $56,135 before taxes and tags, about 16% off list. I wanted to pay cash but they "said" this included incentives that came with financing including $3000 financial services incentive, $1000 loyalty and $500 USAA (which I asked for). At first, the financing was at a 4.9% rate, and I had planned to pay it off ASAP to avoid as much finance charge as possible. When I pushed them for more, they came back with a 1% financing rate for 5 years. Since I can get >3% on a bank CD risk free, they are essentially giving me 2% for 5 years. When talking to the finance guy, I got talked into an extended warrantee (which I now plan on cancelling) but they then further lowered the finance rate to 0.01% which is about $16 total finance charges over 5 year, so essentially free money for 5 years (of course I have to buy the car). The arbitrage return here is over $4,000 (pre-tax) over the five years. Seems like the price reduction and financing advantage together make this a decent deal. Would appreciate any views even though we've already made the purchase - and really like the new X5. Thanks |

16% off is a great price and you did well on financing as well. AdvantageBMW? They are a great retailer with about 1000 vehicles in stock so they will do anything to make you a deal.

Regardless of what you paid on the car that's a hell of a finance deal in any market, given the current rates that was a no brainer to finance the vehicle. I've always been jealous of other brands that offer 0% interest rates for any extended length of time. Frees up your cash to invest as you wish and time to pay off the vehicle as slow or fast as you want.

Looking for a recommended dealer in New York/New Jersey. I'm hoping to get 10% off MSRP before incentives. I think that's reasonable as the 2019's are coming out.

You can ask for Ed Kiley the manager there to give you a price. They have been the easiest dealer for me to work with and on our X5 they beat all the other NJ dealers I got final prices from by 2 grand. https://www.flemingtonbmw.com/ Good luck! |

X5 pricing
Looking to purchase 2018 X5 xDr35i.
List. $71610.00 The dealers first price back to us was $63735.00. (Discounts were: preferred customer discount $5375.00 and rebate $2500) What’s a fair price for this vehicle currently? Any recent purchase prices/discounts would be helpful. Thanks in advance |

I would love to see you get it but - as I was told by a dealers (not sure it is true or not), the dealer's profit is about 8% when sold at MSRP.. so to go 10% would mean the dealer is losing the extra 2% ? as I've said I would love to see you get it so I can use it against dealer around me.

I am looking to steal some 2017 or 2018 x5 35D at the end of the year. I can travel or ship it, and the only thing I am picky on is it having leather. What do you think the odds of getting the car at $50k or under (before TTL)?

Local dealer is discounting in-stock units heavily. If you can wrap up a deal before the end of the month there are some serious discounts to be had on the X5. They are reluctant to offer significant discounts on the X5M since a replacement will not be available for some time and they do not feel it is as much of a rush and time sensitive sale as the plain Jane X5 which will have it's replacement arriving in showrooms the end of October through November 10th. They already have allocation and are taking orders. Most of the options worth buying will not be available to purchase until after December.
