Kid kicked off the OEM rear TV need help
Apparently despite costing close to $3000 for the rear seat entertainment package it is not kid proof. My toddler got pissed and kicked the tv and sheared it off the bracket. IMHO not a great design if it can't withstand some abuse from the kids. Anyhow, dealer wants $100 for the bracket, $300/ea for 2 wiring harnesses (not certain the harnesses broken will test later) and $700 for the labor for a grand total of $1400.00! Can anyone help with a better way to obtain the parts? I've tried getbmwparts.com and can't figure out how to narrow the search to find the parts as I don't have the part numbers. I'm guessing that anyone who can work a torx driver and has some common sense can mount the TV in 5 minutes.

Get part numbers here https://www.realoem.com/ and order them online, doesn't look too complicated to fix.

Ask your SA for the parts number or visit the parts counter. IMHO, rear entertainment isn't worth the expense or risk; I already have enough things to worry about the kids breaking. You could buy them a tablet for less than the cost of rear entertainment, plus its more bang for the buck. Delay fixing it and make the little one learn a lesson. We survived car rides without rear entertainment.
