F15 2017 problem coding with Esys

Hi
About an F15 2017, wanted to do some codings. Have installed Esys 3.27.1 and PSdZ 5.01.02-2015-08-12.

I have to try 2-3 times to connect successfully because I get an " Incompatible ECU" something like this. After 2-3 tries I get "Connection Established". Then I Click Read FA . Save FA . When i Click READ SVT . It shows this:

Quote:
Generate SVT_Ist failed. (C105)
job failed with negative response error:
code: service returned global negative response
description: Service RC_VCM_GEN_SVT returned a negative
response with response code requestOutOfRange; LinkName
VCM_ETHERNET
severity: ERROR
[433]
what am I doing wrong ? I have also coded F25 , F10 and worked like charm.
Is it about the old Esys or PSdZ because when I click about I see 2015-08-13 , maybe it doesn't work for cars manufactured after this date?

I'm not sure that Esys 3.27 is supporting new data bases , but for sure your 2015 psdzdata is too old for your 2017 car.

After deciding to attempt a self-install of the trailer harness on my 2015 F15, I am now drinking from the firehose and learning more than I ever wanted to know about coding.

May I too please get the infamous PM? I promise to take good care of her!

Thanks!

Is Psdzdata installed? Do you have connection targets like F025 available?

I want to deactivate start/stop via FA/VO coding via OMSA word. But can`t find CAS module in ECU list. Do i need to code BDC_BODY module instead?

Activating Trailer module AHM

I recently installed a DrawTite trailer hitch (does not have retractable hitch) and oem wiring harness. I thought activating it would be simple, but I have spent a week looking at various sites, forums, threads, etc... I thought ISTA+ would be the way to go because I saw something under Software Updates that showed Trailer control unit activation. How hard can that be. After installing a couple different versions of ISTA+ including this latest one (Standalone 4.15) complete with sql databases and PSdZ data I thought I finally had it. When I run a test it identifies the fault and shows that it needs to be encoded. When I continue a measure plan is created. This measure plan wants to program or encode many modules and I am unable to un-select them. It also wants to remove my trailer control module. If I execute the plan it does all kinds of stuff with windows, seats, sunroof, etc... Kinda scary what else it might change on me. Is there a simple way to just activate / encode the trailer control unit (which includes the pdc, camera and stabilization steps)???
Please point me in the right direction.

There are two options available in Bimmercode for Fog Lights.
1. Enable Fog Lights with High Beams / Flashers.
2. Enable Fog Lights with parking lights.

These are also shown in the F15 coding cheat sheet as follows.

Coding Description, Module, Section, Function Value, Default Value

Enbales Fog Lights with High Beams / Flashers BDC_BODY 3068 NSW_AUS_BEI_FL aktiv

Enables fog lights to be on with parking lights BDC_BODY 3068 NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL nicht_aktiv

Both of these can be found in the Body Domain Control (BDC_Body) unit. The first can be found under Lighting as "Fog lights off with high beam" where you can set it as Not Active. The second is available under Expert mode as follows. Turn on Expert Mode, scroll to and select section 3068 LceMaster, then scroll and select "NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL", select aktiv.

Both of these features will ensure that once you turn on the fog lights they will stay on until you turn off the ignition or turn off the lights. I have not tested it in auto mode when lights turn on and off due to outdoor lighting, A also did not find anything that would automatically turn them on. There are many ISTA and eSys coders here who might have some input on that part.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Not with ISTA+. If you want it open, connect the vacuums.
