A little OEM+ upgrade today to a 6WA cluster. Purchased used and virginized and coded through RVG Performance.
Where did you purchase used from? And did it come virginized or was that part of the coding? I looked at RVG Performance and didn't see this serviced mentioned.

Purchased from an acquaintance through Instagram. Contacted RVG via email because the seller had used them previously and was able to move forward with the service.

Apologies that I missed your questions! Loaded questions but I’ll try and summarize:

If I had to do things differently, I would’ve gone straight to the Stage 2 HPFP to prevent any fueling limitations. You can certainly do the turbo first, but the reason I tackled things like the oil cooler and such first was to test out thermal management and ensure it was functioning before diving in further. I’d recommend a focus on heat management because these engines like to run hot.

You can certainly do this build without ethanol, which would save you the need for a LPFP upgrade unless you go with a massive turbo.

Today was dyno day for the new setup on E70+ fuel which was max boost/load targets. Ambient temp in the dyno room ended up being 90+ degrees so we’ll go back for power runs in the late fall but we made good power and more importantly it was consistent and smooth.

Car made 477WHP/502WTQ on a 4WD DynoJet. We purposely limited torque to 500ft lbs to keep the motor happy and for longevity and reliability. This is a dog car after all.

Overall I’m very happy, it’s an AWD N55 with a hybrid so I can’t really ask for more from the hardware. I’ll share more boost and log data in the turbo thread to keep it on topic.

Thank you! It’s not massive numbers but with all the driver mod we’ve gained through testing I feel confident in setting solid times come fall.

Welp, it seems as though the universe is testing my patience. Figured we’d do an oil change during the wheel and downpipe install today since we’re going to MPact next month and found the oil pan drain plug socket to be stripped. Heli-coil kit on order but the wheels are ET perfect.

More to come after the cars back in my possession.

Bro what wheel specs did you run?? Looks great! Maybe I need to spiff up my performance a bit here tho but I don't wanna lose mpg hahaha my m3c does that well enough 🫠🫠🫠

How's the intake regarding performance? And I forgot if I asked, are you on Springs?

Makes the TCU tune and RaceChip infinitely more enjoyable.
I heard that the paddles + tcu tune doesn't help much on this platform bc we don't have the msport suspension kit to tie it all together ? 🤔 input bro!! Have you done side by side comparison??

Incorrect. Suspension settings are independent of TCU and I’ve had both XHP TCU Off The Shelf maps and now a custom TCU tune that made a substantial difference in performance and driveability.

BC Coilovers on Swift Springs w/ custom spring rates. I’m on ethanol now and my mpg is NOT good lol.

Haha that corn life !
And xhp huh. Well I guess I'd need to figure out getting a wheel with the paddle shifters first, and code the hell out of the car for all of its features

Yes for sure! Code all the things. I had XHP even when I was just on a piggyback, made a big difference even then. Can’t recommend it enough. Do a trans service to be safe though lol.

Yep, BimmerCode is super simple to use and coding the paddles was easy once I knew where to look. One thing to keep an eye out for , is that not all cars are pre wired for paddles. I’m not sure what to look for to be honest but I knew that going in and go lucky I didn’t have to add any additional wiring.
