22" wheels but what do I need to do about the tpms?

I have just bought some 22" 612m style wheels for my 2016 40D

Question - I will need to get some new tyre pressure sensors but do they have to be coded to my vehicle?

Are these just a "plug and play" device or is it more complicated than that?

I have seen some available on TPMS centre website but I don't want to have them all fitted and then find out I have missed a vital part of the process

Thanks in advance for your help and I'll post the photos once they are installed

If you buy OEM sensors they will work out of the box.

Simple...remove OEM TPMS from factory wheels and install on new set of wheels. No need to purchase new ones.

PM me your location, and I'll give you a quote shipped to you.

I sell Huf TPMS which is OEM brand. Most European car manufacturers private labeling it and add 500% to the price.

Ok cool, so why not just swap out the TPMS when you swap wheels? It's easy to do.

I for one would find it annoying hauling the 2nd set each year to have the sensors removed from one set and moved to second, the more you remove tires the more likely you get wheel wear. One full set of winters for half the year and summer setup, you're just mounting wheels.

Just my 2cents..

Unless of course you're keeping same wheels and just swapping rubber each year..

It is not only annoying.
The price of the OEM are comparable to the price of dismounting and mounting 2 sets of wheels.
Plus, tires are designed to be mounted and dismounted certain amount of time and improper mounting and dismounting will damage the tires.
