this seems really odd, as mentioned the LCI isn't due until 2021 on the X3 (2022 model years I think) since it was just launched in 2017.
So if the dash and other options weren't going to be updated until 2021 it makes sense to buy the X3M now. I can't really remember the last time BMW updated something this major between launch and LCI. Any chance of Laser lights in August as well? |

Weird. Who is killing the Laser lights in USA>? regulations are that strict?
BMW was able to go around it in i8. They also found a way with remote start - calling it climatize. Call the laser lights - outside ambient Illumination. But for now i got them in new X5 and they are close to useless in 3 areas - distance limited from 600 to 300 m - No dazzling option - no cornering lights |

They must be saving the laser lights for the X3 LCI which I’m guessing will be more than just a simple update, but rather a redesign of the lights and grille similar to how they pretty much re-did the entire front end of the 7 series as an LCI. This is all speculation on my part.

Or maybe the X3/X4 won't be getting the updated dash at all (until LCI). This makes more sense. |

It makes a lot of sense, and still you will see live dash there in August. |

(See what I did here?) Seriously though, I'm at 95% confidence right now that the US X3 30d and X5 40d will share the fate of RWD F31 or F45 - ready to go, but cancelled due to the lack of perceived demand. |

ynguldyn, I’m seeing the 4 Series convertible/coupe being referred to as the G22/G23 respectively, instead of the other way around. This would be similar to the former 6 Series and now 8 Series where the convertible gets the lowest numbered model code. Thoughts?

This means that the changes to MY2020 will be at least: - 30% increase in battery capacity - xDrive available for Eurpoe - Live cockpit (new dash) That's a decent upgrade for a non-facelift MY refresh. Last edited by Calelujah; 02-19-2019 at 07:52 AM. |

Is the X5 45e still scheduled to arrive this fall in the U.S. (MY20)?
Also, do we know if the G05 is going to get new options for MY20 like the Alcantara Headliner, LED Sky Roof illumination, display key or a power 2nd row option without having to opt for 3rd row and a remote start that can be triggered by android app? Curious what the 45e would cost over the 40i and the M50i over the 50i. The M50i is confirmed for MY20, right? Thanks! ![]() |

Wow. That sounds pretty confident. However, there are some other news that kinda contradicts it. For one, the 7 series LCI won't be getting the new dash. If a top of the line car won't be getting the new dash with an LCI, why would they update the X3 in a casual production update? The G30 will also be just getting the new instrument cluster and not the new dash for MY2020?
