What's the best option to run for ISTA? Just get ISTA - d and ISTA - p or just run ISTA + ? Is it 3 different products? Mainly looking for reading fault codes but may need the random battery registration, etc.
And of course, may I get a link please? Thanks! |

Esys create token loop
I installed and used Esys 3.27.1 and Launcher Premium 2.8 in March of this year and did lots of coding. Then I had to do a Windows repair on my laptop and haven't gotten it working since.
When I run Launcher, the "Location" field is blank where it should have the location of the Esys program, and if I hit "Launch Now", it prompts me for a PIN (twice to verify), then says token created successfully, then goes right back to prompting for a PIN. I thought it was an issue with the Windows repair, but then I installed it on another laptop and got the same thing. What am I missing? |

coding
Hi, planning my first coding and a bit nervous. Checking different manuals and videos, but see differences in steps in all.
Want to code: disclaimer, engine start/ stop and folding mirrors. 1. after connecting to car some manuals say first to activate FA first, some say to push "Read SVT" or "Read ECU". What is correct sequence? 2. Back up copy of original s etting required, but again manuals describe different ways. One says to read coding data one by one of each folder. Another says to push"Read Coding Data". One more says just to push "Save" at vehicle order window and push "Save" at SVT Actual" window. please advise correct steps. Please advise. |

2. I do not follow. Backup not required. You can always VO code back to factory. |

2. all manuals recommend to save and store separately original vehicle coding. Read all CAFD folders, but description of the process is different. How to restore via VO in case required ? Any link to thread. |

Backups are not necessary, but can be used for some purposes. Saved SVT is helpful if you do not have CAFD ID's memorized. |

Did anybody try to code the rear euro fog light? I'm having hard time trying to activate it using the Bimmmer code App. I have '17 X5, I already changed the switch to euro switch, attempted to activate the rear euro fog light but it didn't work.
Is it possible just to use the esys to make it work? any inputs? TIA |
