I must be confusing it with the F15 I owned. I recall front ventilation being optional. Perhaps on the F85 it was not. I had it on both. I could live without having experienced it on both vehicles not impressed. I'd opt for more comfort or if on the G05 it functions better I would get it.

You are correct. It was an option on the F15/16.

It's been a long time complaint in all the BMW cars.

Reminds me of the cup holders in the BMW E39 5 series. One of the worst German engineering I've ever seen, resulting in drink spills, dangerous when the drink is hot ... really laughable and moronic.

Arrow

Daughter got married this past weekend in Eagle River, WI, about a 6 hour drive from Illinois.

Due to my OCD-ness of not wanting to get my car dirty, covered in bug splatter, along with the fact that we took our two Pugs with us, we rented a car for the drive up and back.

We were given a 2018 Audi Q7 (Black on Black) so it was nice and hot in the Sun and with the weather in the 80's.

It was a base Q7 and didn't have ventilated seats and after a long time driving, even with the A/C on the entire trip and the Sunroof shade closed, my back was damp.

Something that I've never had happen in my 2015 BMW X5M as I use the seat ventilators on those hot and warm days and even though it's not very strong, it's enough to keep you dry and cool after long trips.

The A/C split between the dash and the floor was something that I originally tried in my 650xi Convertible when driving with the top down on hot days.

As mentioned it cools the air a tad bit more as it's pulling the cool A/C air into the seats.
