Don't forget - when you shut your car off if you hold your wiper stalk in the up position for 3-5 seconds - it will put your wires in the all the way "up" position to make clearing snow easier when the time comes.

Tip I read on here before I even bought my car, but I have used it a few times already!

I learned this on this forums a year ago.

I just lift it off my windshield. That way if the stalk gets brushed by accident my blades are torn off my windshield if they are frozen.

That winter parking position of wipers is not for clearing the snow easier...
It is designed so that the wipers benefit from the warm air blown into the windshield from inside in order to melt the ice and free up the wipers...

This information is also in your owners manual...just go to the back index and look for "windshield wipers FOLD-OUT position". It will tell you how to lower the windshield wipers if you have difficulty figuring it out.

Any tips of feedback on front mud-flaps?

So with all the inevitable slush from the road salt kicking in, I'm finding the back of my leg getting dirty as I exit the vehicle. I think I'm brushing against the slush/dirt on the rocker panel. I think the M Sport package makes that area stick out a bit further maybe?

Anyone running the front mud-flaps to cut down on the tires kicking up the crud onto the side? Wondering if that would help.

That's a common theme on x5. It's even worse if you have running boards.
I don't think flaps will do much.
Just do some yoga stretches so that you can reach further away when you step out. Lol

One thing I learned this past weekend you can not be in DTC mode and Eco Pro. It will only be in the one last selected.
