Anyone know what version of HomeLink we have on the F15 X5's? Looking to upgrade my garage door opener with a DC Motor, wifi, battery back-up model that says it's comparable with HomeLink version 4.0 or higher.

You'll be fine, I believe we have V5.

Homelinks website will tell you if it's compatible. Just put in make model and year of car and make and model of garage door opener.

Saw that but they don't say what version of HomeLink. The different color antenna wires on your door opener indicate what frequencies they operate at. Gray is older, then purple and the newest units are yellow wires. Also, my garage Door guy said the HomeLink compatibility chart isn't 100% accurate.

Thanks ... It's the Lift Master 8550W I'm looking at. Now I need to see if our Infiniti will work too.

My door opener has a purple wire and my 2016 x5 and 2011 m3 work fine with it...

Lol well don't know what to tell ya then. You could always return it. I have the amazing ryobi and it works just fine with my 2014 and my fiancée 2002 Honda Accord. It did not work for my 2005 Mercedes C55
