St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort last fall for our honeymoon. I travel quite a bit for work so over the years I've been exposed to a wide variety of hotels from 1 star lodges in rural middle America to riads in Morrocco. This aforementioned St. Regis property is special for sure.

I don't travel much, so it's nothing super ridiculous, but the quail lodge in Carmel was pretty sweet.

Been to a bunch in the carribbean as well that I enjoyed, but they dont compare to some of the ones posted here. Secrets in Punta Cana probably my favorite of those. |

The Days Inn in Bucksnort TN was very accommodating.
Kidding aside, not as fancy as some of the others posted and can't remember all that I've stayed at but the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City TN was very nice. Planet Hollywood in Vegas was cool. The first night there I got a little too drunk and got lost inside the hotel looking for my room. A few weeks later I watched Get Him to the Greek and noticed they were running down the same hallways I got lost in, pretty cool. |

We went to Jamaica, mahn about a dozen years ago. We stayed at a Sandals or Beaches property. It was a little one they had just acquired. Nothing special in the rooms, but the service was above and beyond!
By the second morning, the omelette lady knew how I liked my eggs gently cooked, and what ingredients to put in. After 20+ years I can't even convince my wife how to do this properly. Walk-up/swim-up bars, HUGE chessboard where son and I played in an afternoon downpour, the event coordinators included my sons in the shows each night, from dancing to apperal showcases. The disco stayed open as long as we kept dancing. Walk up to the little snack shack at the beach and they'd whip up whatever you needed. It wasn't by any stretch the most opulent hotel we ever visited, but the island spirit and genuine (at least I thought) feeling made it the best vacation I've ever been on. |
