Tuning my BMW X5 2015 25D

Hi guys,

I need advice on what to do with my BWM X5 F15 2015, but of course, it's not always simple when I am in question

1. They actually under power the engine from 231bhp to 218bhp so it will be cheaper to license, my BMW is imported from Belgium.

Code for that is S843A Power Reduction (you can check it here: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/0k97258)

I currently live in Malta, a small island in the middle of the Mediterranian Sea, so this engine is quite OK (you don't have anywhere to drive more then 120kmh even if you want)

What I wish to do is to remove this reduction and then do a software tune

1. Does anyone has a suggestion how to remove this S843A Power Reduction
2. Which software tune is the best, currently I have only few options here Malta (really small place)

One of them is: https://www.rstronic.com/fr/en/ price EUR 300
Another option is: HEREhttps://www.facebook.com/rstuningmalta/?eid=ARDN-eMG1Zkrvma3JeYR5v9yAf9Mn5bxtMAexJAj3hIIgtxVQyfnWIe 1JSc9b0JDGEH52jJGah9FA3ms&hc_ref=ARSGWumiiHkZdWH4L uQ_wOsbIKVmYj0xNjOk5Tp3pGRHfsa-vdNjC9rGBBzqCmOAjcQ&fref=nf&__xts__[0]=68.ARCUeRk_yutsI_PDwrUuSe-DPklDAhlZiCXb_eDHXb_dvWvgphaq4qaRuh7_pjeS9y43nvfqx PZQEjbnmVNU3KpYmEiIQ6JoruDD9ATbUSCUhkPO1SKNLRUQZfN ar1OJKIb9THF5EhXgJBDCbWOl3X3sq3FE4hkhm8HJd9c3d1G6u XoTlCYJC9KU5GamgpaP4T-1M48HslHAd593Wx5aOdrDhehT8hvk_Q9r_Av5fLZ5vmV4oqdwT JgtfPyeh1bJ8z-M3Hb1n7YruK7BlbmTlJXsUqpZnk9HcYshZA43T4SMbfzM_nyko k8rOHkQCFlxPh3RLOvph0eo6RNLFfYukwNRAB0Vv_w0CU3m6Fz mbnSkvCnnhuZf42T3br4tzhcPwJZWyFbancQ6o5aj1h0VuDRI8 poMZBGwKYb19SrAp1RMNjJoRfERiN8H5jGplC2gBlphMPgbNuW QO6mXCbSNLD5iMjLtXuL-niSk_9Rq5rq7LjO7EslgocZkxWdeTJQogQ Price EUR 300

3. Should I consider something like Race Chip maybe? These are the prices in Europe

What I would like to gain, a bit more torque and responsive throttle because in Comfort mode is quite sluggish.

Thanks in advance,

I can only speak for my 2018 35i - I have the GTS Black with the app, and the Throttle tune. I don't drive my car that hard, or track it. Just a daily driver.

This is an easy, great upgrade that does not require an ECU reflash.

Drivability is fantastic, can adjust them on the fly, and it makes a huge difference in how the car feels.

I've done ECU flashes in the past, and love them, too...but for the ease and $$$- this is a great way to go.

parkstr8 thank you very much for the answers. I am the same type of driver, as well here you cannot drive fast anywhere, because the whole island is so small, no highways or anything similar.

Actually here is cheaper to do ECU remap, its around EUR 300, and RS Chip is EUR 330, plus app and throttle which is in total 638 EUR
