Yes, that is exactly the look I am going for. I have always loved that look.

I think either will look great with your current color and mods. Car looks great so far. I would do the painted reflectors and lowering springs next. Those will make a larger impact for less money.

I purchased a set of 50i calipers today. Trying to decide on rotors right now. I am caught between going with the R1concept drilled and coated rotors, and the Zimmerman coated solid rotors from FCPEuro. The advantage with the FCP Zimmerman’s, is they come with the lifetime warranty. Wasn’t sure how often the 50i rotors wrap, so this is a concern of mine. The R1concept rotors are quality units for a good price. I also think the drilled rotors will look more aggressive and give the vehicle a sporty look. I am planning to powdercoat the calipers to keep them clean looking and pop a little more.
Hey so I'm pretty new to the mod stuff. Been doing mostly exterior easy stuff but I think I want to lower the car. Just not sure how to? What springs to use? Etc. I've been doing everything diy because it's been such a great hobby so any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.

I would definitely go with the H&R VTF springs. These allow front and rear adjustability in height which is nice to have. In terms of swapping out the front springs, it is pretty easy to do. It is pretty much the exact same process as on E70’s and F15/F85’s. Check out videos on YouTube and you can get a very good idea on how to attack things. The H&R kit also gives you a instructional booklet on how to install the springs. You have to remove a couple pieces from the front strut assembles.

Thx! I'll definitely look into that. My carbon fiber lip and rear spoiler come in tomorrow. I'm so excited!!!

When you do have it done would you mind letting me know how much labor is? Highly interested in this mod. Thanks

Parts have finally come in for my brake rebuild!! Very excited to get everything on the car and working. I have not been a fan of the feel of the brakes on my F15 since I got it. I am pretty sure the pads on my car are not stock, as they have very poor initial bite, and they have nowhere near the power that my E70 X5 35d had. These parts should make things a lot different.

Went with R1concepts Geomet drilled rotors in the F15 50i fitment front and rear. Also picked up a set of nice X5 50i calipers which I am going to clean and powdercoat gloss orange. For pads I went with R1concepts “Semi-Metallic” pads front and rear. These were recommended for the maximum amount of daily bribing bite in my colder Michigan climate. I know they will dust the wheels more than a ceramic pad, but I don’t care. I am more interested in how my brakes feels and perform.

Love the idea of orange. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Hey, I see that you're probably pretty busy with other mods but I've revived the Group Buy for the Joyeauto Carplay units. I noticed that you were in for the first round so I wanted to see if you still want to get in on it.

I can’t believe I never updated this thread. Here is how my brake conversion progressed and ended up. For the coating I went with G2 epoxy. Seems like it will be durable but it does seem likely to chip if anything hits it. I also added ECS braided steel brake lines at this time.

Bunch of changes have been happening to the car recently. I got it back yesterday and took some pictures of things. The car is not 100 percent back together or 100 percent done, but it is getting close.
