Ah, ja heir ist die probleme!

The actual entries are as below, noting that there is an known issue with using Launcher Premium vs Launcher Pro. Changing the selection (Ausgelesen) modifies the word (Werte) value automatically. The end state entries should look as follows:

I posted a bunch of additional info in your PM, however for the rest of the readers, the updated information is:
1) FA Code 3AC
2) Code the AAG Module to most current CAFD to match the vehicle I-Step level
3) Edit the CAFD to change the entries back to default for the hitch type. This ends up being:
3100 Hitch_Common_1, FA -> initwert
3101 Hitch_Common_2, 32 -> initwert
see photo above
4) Code the FDL back into the AAG->CAFD file

5) FDL Code the PMA_PDC and HU_NBT CAFDs with the following modifications.

PMA_PDC
PMA_PDC > PDC_VARIANT 3008 > anhaengerkupplung = aktiv
PMA_PDC > PDC_VEHICLE 3009 > ahk_ausblendung_cm = F15_F15
PMA_PDC > PDC_VEHICLE 3009 > ahk_offset_cm = F15_F15

HU_NBT
HU_NBT > EXBOX 3001 > MACRO_TRAILER_COUPLING = aktiv

Noting that the above does not address the trailer DSC nor some of the additional monitoring conducted by the Body Domain Controller nor the Integrated Chassis Management

So, I am using Launcher Premium. I cannot select "initwert" under Ausgelesen.

I only see an "Unknown" value.

I'm going to download Pro to see if it fixes this.

Pro will need to be activated, but does fix the issue.

I can also change the first line that is causing issue for folks if they want to send over their CAFD file. Kostenlos.

Big shout out to X Mon for helping me out with this as well. I too had the same issue, but it was fixed with an edit of the CAFD file to modify the value that cannot be modified with the Premium version of the Launcher.

Here is how it looks on the back. I used a "carbon fiber" hitch cover and a melanized hitch lock to match the rear diffuser, and I'm pretty happy with the finally result. I love the Stealth and Invisihitch's design, however, I'd rather save extra $300-400 bucks for the "non-hidden" looking.

In addition to X Mon™ comment, you can purchase those mounting bracket to secure the wire connector.

I installed the connector under the bumper. It's a little bit far to reach out, but doesn't bother me too much.

Do you have the wiring kit part number used with this? Thanks!

I have a 2018 x5 and added the invisi hitch and a remote trailer brake controller which works great. It did not come with the hitch package so I am not able to zoom in on the hitch when hooking up. Is there a way to add that feature? I'm new to the forum. Thanks for your help.

This is a function that has to be coded. When I got my Stealth hitch, a coding session was included in the price. You may want to search the coding threads to see if this is something you feel you could do yourself. If not, most coding sessions are about $100 and you can pick and choose all the other features you want to modify as well.

Do I need a module ?

I purchased the hitch for an electric wheelchair lift/carrier from Amazon for less than $200.00. It is a Draw-Tite 75600 Max-Frame Class III 2" Receiver Hitch and it bolts on my BMW X5 perfectly. Amazon screwed up the delivery so the total cost to me was about $10.00 (Yup, Ten Dollars). I just love when Amazon screws up. They gave me full credit for the item and gave me an extra $5 or $10 gift card> I did have to purchase the rivets for install for about $10. My BMW is a 2016 X5 sdrive 35i and it has listed as an installed option the S8SLA Trailer coupling preparation according to BMW’s vin #. I installed the hitch. Very straightforward and not very complicated. Remove bumper cover, install the hitch using the existing eight hex nuts and reinstall the bumper cover. I have used DrawTight in the past and like the construction of their hitch. Very satisfied and couldn’t beat the price. Now I have come to the hard complicated part, wiring the lift. The thread has confused me. Do I need a module if I have the S8SlA pkg?. Do I need get a software or program to code the package? Any links to coding and software would be a great help and any help in wiring would be appreciated. Need to finish this in the next two weeks. Thanks.

So what do you guys recommend in terms of getting an actual hitch with receiver. I have a 2017 x5 m sport. Was thinking of stealth but not sure if it's worth the money for "hidden option", don't mind if it sticks outs as long there is no modification to the bumper. Thanks in advance

MAYBE...

Post the info on the lift. What does IT require to be wired into the vehicle?

You may need to go the module and harness route, but you also may not. If you're only ever going to use the hitch to support the lift, the towing module might not make sense both from a financial side of things, and from an integration side of the house.

Just did this mod. 16' X5 50i msport. Curt hitch from etrailer $120ish. Harness and module from Ecs tuning. $150ish. Newish hitch from curt DOES require a minimal amount of trimming. And YES module needs to be programmed. Tested out works great. Pulling a 5000lb fully loaded boat on double axle trailer with no brakes on it.

Do you have the part #'s from ECS tuning. I'm seeing a harness for $177 and a module for $166.

Did my first tow with my 2015 Xdrive35i. Pulled 2700 lbs about 750 total miles without issue. The Curt hitch fit without trimming and I made my own bracket for the electrical connector. I installed using OEM wiring and module. After VO and FL coding, all lights work properly, I get the zoom feature on the rear camera as well. Only problem to overcome is the warning: "Trailer Electrical System". Cannot seem to figure that one out just yet.

Curt hitch here

I too debated all of the options - ended up getting a Curt 2" hitch and having my local/friendly body shop install it as bumper removal, etc required. No bumper triming required - (with full M Sport ) My purpose was for a receiver mounted bike rack - so I did not need wiring. ONLY annoyance is that when you select reverse the rear park sensors make noise the whole time you are reversing. Bit of a pain but very temporary.

I am geeky about stuff - but once you have lived with the hitch installed - you never notice it. Not worth the $$$ for invisi hitch in my humble opinion.

that is so weird. some ppl report that their curt hitch requires trimming while me and others report no trimming required. do u have any pics of where the trimming is required?

Mine was about 1 inch just around the edge of the receiver itself. Curt wanted and or template was more but not needed. I put it on first without but the bumper bowed up a little across that section.

Thank you. My assumption was that you got the harness and module together for approx $150.

this is my bumper, u can see theres enough room to clear the hitch without any cutting. and cutout is there from the factory, and i am the first owner so no one else couldve made that cut.
