Yes, that is exactly the look I am going for. I have always loved that look.

I would definitely go with the H&R VTF springs. These allow front and rear adjustability in height which is nice to have. In terms of swapping out the front springs, it is pretty easy to do. It is pretty much the exact same process as on E70’s and F15/F85’s. Check out videos on YouTube and you can get a very good idea on how to attack things. The H&R kit also gives you a instructional booklet on how to install the springs. You have to remove a couple pieces from the front strut assembles.

Parts have finally come in for my brake rebuild!! Very excited to get everything on the car and working. I have not been a fan of the feel of the brakes on my F15 since I got it. I am pretty sure the pads on my car are not stock, as they have very poor initial bite, and they have nowhere near the power that my E70 X5 35d had. These parts should make things a lot different.
Went with R1concepts Geomet drilled rotors in the F15 50i fitment front and rear. Also picked up a set of nice X5 50i calipers which I am going to clean and powdercoat gloss orange. For pads I went with R1concepts “Semi-Metallic” pads front and rear. These were recommended for the maximum amount of daily bribing bite in my colder Michigan climate. I know they will dust the wheels more than a ceramic pad, but I don’t care. I am more interested in how my brakes feels and perform.

I can’t believe I never updated this thread. Here is how my brake conversion progressed and ended up. For the coating I went with G2 epoxy. Seems like it will be durable but it does seem likely to chip if anything hits it. I also added ECS braided steel brake lines at this time.

Bunch of changes have been happening to the car recently. I got it back yesterday and took some pictures of things. The car is not 100 percent back together or 100 percent done, but it is getting close.
