KMAC Camber Kit

Has anyone installed these adjustable camber bushings?

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-kmac-par...s/193826k~kma/

Having serious issues with rear negative camber post coilover install and looking at options as it is impacting my ride quality. Getting another realignment next week to see if they can do better after everything has settled.

Sorry to hear about the ride quality. Will you tell us in details?

I see so many lowered X5s on this forum but never hear about camber or toe issues. Can you post up your alignment results?

I noticed the price, and was looking for the platinum plating of parts, and alcantara lined gift box..
Despite the way high cost, might be worth it on lowered vehicles, where the rear wheels negative camber is really noticeable...

Nice find!

Here are the results at install, but the rear is exponentially worse since the setup settled close to an inch. Not sure would it would be reading now but will be back in the shop Monday.

Hey, it could be completely unrelated to rear camber. Just trying to think of what's going on.

The issue is definitely in the rear. Even while driving on a completely flat surface, it feels like the car is skipping. Either my wheels are ovals or there is something going on with the setup.

If wheels are out of round, you should feel a vibration when driving on the highway.
What does the tires look like, how many miles on them, any cupping?
At what speed does it feel like car is skipping?

The wheels and tires are brand new / perfectly balanced and installed 1 day before the coilovers.

The skipping is immediate (it's noticeable even backing out of my garage). It gets better at high speeds but is still noticeable.

Who did the mounting and balancing? Were they road force balanced?

OK, weird.

Sucks those bushings are pricey, but it might be worth giving them a try?!
I'm lowered by quite a bit, so I have same issue with more negative camber at the rear. but I do not have any issues with skipping.

I'm thinking if nothing else, those bushings might make the rear tires last a bit longer, and not make inside look wore out when outside is still perfectly fine.
That by itself, could make them worth it?

Good luck with new alignment!

Brand new OEM or brand new aftermarket? ... I'm thinking the hubcentric rings are the wrong ID or were forgotten when installing wheels, and as a result they are not centered on the hub.

Can you try and explain the sensation in a different way? I'm having a hard time imagining what skipping would be like? Like losing traction or more like when there is an imperfection in the road, the tire slams down on the ground?

Put stock wheels back on and go for a ride. Eliminate the possibility of your new wheel tire setup being at fault.

My new wheels were custom, and road forced balanced. They were perfect the 2 days leading up to my coilover install. No issues whatsoever with the wheels or tires.

Let me clarify the sensation - it's more like driving over a bunch of non stop little speed bumps or an uneven road. It's 100% related to the coilover install, whether it's improper loading of the rear springs, issues with the existing bushings or control arms or severe negative camber.

Is the feeling accompanied by any noise? Rattling/clanking?

Do you know for sure if they pre-loaded the rear shocks? If there's not rattling noise, I'm fairly confident that this is the issue.

No rattling.

Btw that's what the theory was from the BC Racing tech support.

Don't buy any coliovers for x5s but Except kw and bilstein! You will pay a lot for it!

Absolute experience on me

I know you bought BC!

The requirements for x5 suspension are very strict!

look luck! bro

Yup, I’ll bet ya a beer they didn’t.

Is this a shop that you’ve dealt with in the past? Reputable?
