I did all that on mine at 40k for peace of mind since we're tuning and beating on it.

And as for the OP, I'm not a wrencher or DIYer and I think what you paid is reasonable considering it's about a whole days work and they sourced the parts for you.
How much did you end up paying?

I appreciate all the feedback. I agree the labor was definitely high. After seeing the FCP Euro videos I considered doing the work myself. But I decided against tackling this project for the first time on my only vehicle, especially in 30 degree weather.

Convenience is expensive.

Shoot I'd take your labor rate!!!!

Here in Chicago it $250 an hour fir labor!!!!

Things here can get out of control real quick!

Hell it's over 2k in labor just to do your list not including cost of fluids!

My dealer quoted around 3500 for changing the drivetrain fluids and Tc with diffs

So to me you got a bargain! lol. Crazy world!

$3500 is robbery. I'm assuming you're referring to a BMW dealership. Even for them $250 is crazy. There is no way I would go to BMW for those repairs. I went to an Indy shop.

Hey what's done is done, Getting underneath a large vehicle while it's running to top off transmission fluid that is supposed to spill over and out to know it's full, next to a hot exhaust pipe is worth the price of admission. Just enjoy your clean hands that don't stink of the horrid transfer case and tranny fluid and now smooth transmission. Bonus, you did not have install and learn ISTA to re-calibrate your transfer case too.

Yeah. I think this will work out for you in the long run. You can own the vehicle for so much longer now.

^ Good perspective. A DIY drivetrain fluid exchange can go horribly wrong in more ways than one. As before, I think you did fine OP.

I paid half here in Pittsburgh for that job. I actually listed the receipt here.
