X6 F16 Tailgate wont open full, wont close, idrive adjusted

Hi im having issue with my f16 x6 40d

My tail gate will not open in full height , only 50% even in my idrive was set to maximum high up. And sometimes it dont even open, only can hear the latch unlock sound. It also sometimes will not close when we press the button. ( can not close mean the tail gate is not moving at all with button pressed)

Any one facing the issue?

Nope.

But I would start by checking my fuses first.

Followed by running ISTA to see if there's an ECU fault.

I know there's a thread here on how to make your trunk door close softer. I'd look for that thread and follow it, then just check your settings to make sure.. I like to check everything I can before I throw money at it.

If all above checks out fine, then I would definitely think my issues are the Spindles.

Maybe you can goggle a way to check them for full functionality…
