Porsche Cayman vs Lotus Evora

Which of these two would you rather have??

Tough choice I know

The Cayman seems more refined and classy, but the Evora is a total drivers car.

The Cayman is not a "total driver's car"? In what world?

My father had a 2012 Evora S, and while it was a beautiful looking car and handled phenomenally, it was built like a piece of shit. Just what you expect from a low volume British car. It was constantly back at the dealer with numerous electrical issues, clutch issues and fit and finish issues. Needless to say he ditched it in favor of a Cayman GT4. Hands down the GT4 is a way better car all around.

This. Met someone with an Evora who loved the thing, but said it was in the shop more than it was on the road...

That's interesting. My uncle has a 2013 Evora S, and he claims the thing has been surprisingly reliable....maybe thats just good luck

I personally like the style of the Evora better, but I agree about the Cayman being more refined overall.....plus, the Evora is much less common, which is a major plus in my book!

If a daily driver, neither.

If not a daily driver and the Cayman is a GTS or S then the Cayman. Otherwise I'd try out the Evora.

Good point!

Neither would be a good DD.....unless you lived in a place with no snow and perfect roads

I'd prefer the Cayman GTS but the new Evora looks and sounds great!

Evora looks kinda ugly to me.. I'd go with the smaller and more hardcore Exige.

But yes, definitely do not buy a Lotus for the build quality. It's built like a kit car and has the fit and finish of one. It screams cheap when you sit in it. Driving experience is great though but personally I would not put my money down for one.

Evora is ugly.

I am superficial.

Therefore, Cayman wins hands down.
