Ahh, back in the day where you had about 20 songs with you via two cassette tapes.

Kids would lose their shit these days if they only could carry 20 or songs with them.

You had to hold down the play and FF button and listen for the dead spot. If you have a custom tape with no or short breaks between songs, you had to be really good!

I actually had a linear skating cassette player in my car during high school. But that was when people were having CD players and cassette players in their car. It was pretty sweet. Press a button and a tray slid out from seemly nowhere and you could drop a tape in there. Was some straight up StarWars shit there! lol

Just moved to using BOSE's SoundTouch ecosystem for my whole-home distributed audio. Been trying to talk myself into using their new Wave SoundTouch IV ($599) for the bedroom so I have full alarm clock functionality... But I can't help but feel drawn to using a SoundTouch 130 sound bar+subwoofer ($1499) with the bedroom TV. Decisions, decisions...
