Remote start experiment 2017 F15

hello all! this is my first post ever so bear with me.
I just bought my first F15 2017 and because I live in Canada i need a remote start in it.

Now I know couple options from Eurostart and BimmerCode are available but for just a basic start from OEM remote is not enough for me. I want more.

I am a professional remote start installer and i want to put my brain to develop anther solution that can have separate remote with 6000 feet range as well as proximity lock and unlock (since mine doesnt have comfort access) and smartphone control.

to start this I need some information about the FEM.
Is FEM module from 2014;2015 same as 2016;2017? are any differences?

Interesting idea! I have the bimmer tech kit and a mile range would definitely help when I'm staying at a hotel for instance.

Wouldn't it be easier to start with the bimmer tech kit and try to figure out how to integrate a long range remote?

I’m in the same boat, I have the bimmertech remote start but improvement on range would be a plus. Don’t get me wrong, it gets the job done but extra range is def a plus.

Bimmertech is a great option but if i can install a compustar unit price should be a bit cheaper and this unit will have support for Smartphone control, long range remotes and proximity lock and unlock. all in the same time. not sure if Bimmertech can run all this in same time.
