Hubcentric Question

Just wondering if the use of hubcentric rings is assumed. Not understanding why the backside of spacers (H&R) and BMW rims are beveled in but the male side of the discs and spacers are a sharp 90 degrees.

Don't have them on mine as the hub centric spacers fill that void. Same as with oem rotors.

Several reason from what I can see.

It is to help with proper installation of wheels. Somewhat easier to line up when there is a bevel on one of the edges. Thus brake hub can have a 90° edge if spacer or wheel has the bevel.

Also beveled edges are less prone to stress fractures, so it makes it stronger than a 90° angle. (more important on aluminum than steel)

Might be more reasons like the space helps it seat properly if there is rust or corrosion on the hub, being pushed in, when mounting a wheel!?

Here's my OEM hub. You can actually see where the wheel's hubcentric void begins and ends. Now each wheel has two voids: the one shown and the one on the outboard side of the spacer. Feeling like I should fill the voids with plastic rings but there were obviously voids when it left the factory.
