Turbo Booster Solenoid replacement
Hey Guys,
I got a drivetrain malfunction error code last week so brought my car to the dealership. They diagnosed as a turbo booster solenoid issue and recommended replacing both for ~$2k, does this estimate seem reasonable? I did a quick search online and looks like each part is around a couple of hundred dollars? I have a 2017 X5M with 50k miles and drive it pretty easy. |

If its turbo boost solenoids only, they are not super hard to replace but definitely a job somewhat, done mine last week as a preventative. Also pierburg is an oem brand, same as genuine just has ‘pierburg’ sticker over the oem part numbers. Cost 95 ea you need 2. I also worked around moving the intercooler so saved a little time there. Did vacuum lines as well while in there
