For those who needs OEM parts that are hard to get or expensive

Stumbled upon this golden mine. They disassemble cars and have OEM parts available with free shipping and all parts are on sale. This is not a ad, but rather a friendly hint for those who are looking for some oem parts. They have more than 230 parts: from seats to ABS module etc. Some parts (not all) are priced several times lower than if you buy it from dealership. They also have some rare parts too.

Interesting that they even have DME
I also noticed 2 turbos from N63TU donor car 2015MY. $1220 for both turbines. Almost makes me want to pull the trigger - for future turbo upgrade.
Some ///M seals too.

You are right, it's not that different. The only thing I like here is that you have better photos and all prices are with shipping included. In car parts - it's always a lottery: either no photos, wrong part numbers, wrong description or no info about price and so on. It's a mess basically. I tried couple times contacting sellers on car parts and getting a response was a challenge - it seems like most of salvage yards on car parts are run by people who don't know what internet or email is lol. Sometimes they don't even list a phone number or anything - just some form you have you fill out and submit hoping someone will contact you lol.
This on the other hand is very straightforward - like shopping on amazon You see a part you like - you click on buy button and it's done. They are same salvage yard seller, but better organized, all the parts are from x5 f15 2014-2018 and not some f10 or f07 or else like on car parts in general.
I wouldn't mind having several of this kind of sellers with proper website and every part photographed and presented so you can clearly see condition to be able to chose parts from.

A place has one wrecked '18 X5, of course they can spend time with each part. BTW, would be nice of them to include mileage.

I believe these are the guys I got some parts from years ago, for an older BMW.
Kind of rough part of town, second time I went there, I carried...
Name is a bit misleading, since they are in MI...
Anyway, they seemed like pretty solid in how they do business, and have been there for a while..

Another good resource for these types of things is www.car-part.com. It is a national listing for majority of the salvage yards in the country and you may find even better prices over there.

Car-Part.com in my experience, is hit or miss. I'm local to many, many jy's here in socal, and I find most jy's use the service. But in some cases, the owners don't have a clue as to what's in their inventory, for sale, the condition, price, pictures, email, etc.

It's like they're behind the learning curve and are accustomed to the old school way of doing things. Just my opinion...

It's not just junk yards. I mean, 20 years ago we all thought internet will finally rid this world of car salesmen and real estate agents, and yet not only those are still around and thriving, the whole experience is the same, incl. "let me check with my manager" lines.
