Bimmercode?
Just did some first time coding. 2014 35i xline. Coded for Sport+ Active transmission. Added launch control. Sport+ shows in the instrument cluster and launch control works. However, it will not let me select sport+ when driving. Is this due to a suspension package or some other setting I need to set.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Changing to active transmission firms up shifting a bit. May adjust shift points slightly. Just wanted to see if there is a way to select sport+ while driving. I believe that only turns off traction control and maybe some stability settings.

Just as an FYI there is an entire thread on coding using BimmerCode

Engine has to be warmed up. Then select Sport+ and shift lever to the left (Sport mode). Fully apply brake (all the way). Then fully apply throttle. You must push it all the way to the floor, including "past the kick down indent". You will get a checkered flag, indicating launch control is in effect and rpms will only go up to about 3500rpm or so and will stay there while you are holding brake pedal. Release the brake (within 3 seconds) and keep the throttle pinned to the floor. If you don't release the brake within 3 seconds, the flag goes out.
I tried both launch control and 2 pedal technique and found no difference - so it's not really needed imho. I only tried it to see checkered flag |
