Acoustic Pedestrian Protection - won't enable
Hey guys, this may be a really dumb question, and I don't even know if it matters, but my 2018 F85 has the Pedestrian Protection - Acoustic Pedestrian Protection option... thing is, I can't get the box to check to enable it... My car has it, it's one of those things that bugs me, I have it but it won't let me enable it. Any ideas? Why have it as an option if I can't enable it?

Do yo have it listed on your build sheet (VIN decode)…or if you’re not the original owner…it may have been coded to appear in the iDrive display…but the other components or module required to activate this feature wasn’t coded or you don’t have the module to activate it.
If you have this option, the description of how it operates etc will be in the embedded digital owners manual in iDrive. What does the iDrive owners manual say about activating it? Also, I thought this option was for electric vehicles since they don’t make much noise (no engine hum to warn pedestrians…thus the artificial noise activation feature).
