I just bought a 2017 LBB loaded for 79K with 11k miles on it

I overpaid a bit but i love the car and the options it has

I would say what youre being quoted is about fair. If its the car you want in the spec you want, is the 2-3k youre going after going to make or break you?

The car will depreciate regardless, these things dont hold value super well anywho, evidenced by my example dropping something like 40k in a year lol.

It is at a Volvo Dealership and their asking price is in line with the 2016 the OP was inquiring about and the warranty would take him into the same length as a CPO '16 that has an in-service date starting in '15.

Price seems alright to me if it ticks the boxes you want. Last month, I paid $64500 for an Alpine White/Black Extended leather with DAP, B&O, 20's (what I wanted for Indiana roads), and Executive Package. It was a 2016 CPO, as well. I wanted white on either black or red. They did eat some of the shipping cost, as well, since it came from California. I only paid $800 for the trucking.

I'm just curious, especially since buying the car used why not buy it from the auction. My boy bought a 17 in early 2018 with 12k on the clock for 62k delivered. He was saying he could of gotten rebuilt one for 40k with less miles but he would just nervous. Thoughts?

Long post sorry - It’s funny you mention that. I have been working with a guy in MA that I’ve purchased cars from previously. He has access to all of the BMW Financial Services auctions as well as the internal BMW system for moving these lease turn ins. He’s a really good guy who has been doing this for over 20 years and is incredibly thorough on the cars he selects. Your friend got an incredible deal. I have seen the Manheim results for 2016s and they are all low 60s and upper 50s (if in bad shape). I gave him parameters in the middle of October for what I was looking for (2016 Donington on Aragon / 21” / B&O/ under 30k miles) and not a single vehicle has popped up with that combination. My wife and I decided to visit this dealer in NJ last weekend even though it was a black interior and we were pleasantly surprised with how the color looked when sitting in it. The car was also clearly very well taken care of and the low mileage is appealing.

By the way - if any of you have a 16 or 17 Donington on Aragon that you are looking to move, please let me know.

So I haven't pulled the trigger yet (need to do so in the next day or two). My only hesitation is deciding if it's worth it to hold out for one with an aragon brown interior or not. I keep going back and forth on which color I prefer.

My S1 tune arrives today, so I am currently that guy with a tune kit and no car...

Thanks for sharing. We actually saw that car in person...unfortunately it was in really bad shape. Amazing how poorly people can treat these cars, regardless of how high their lease payments were.

This is how a title gets 'washed' going from one state to the next. But I'm sure it's gonna get flagged by Carfax, Autocheck etc.
