Nice! Did the dealer update take care of all of it or did you have to go in after and do the patch?

Dealer only did the update from NBTevo_J to NBTevo_P. Bimmer-tech did a remote coding session to apply the patch. Took ~ 10min with obd2 Ethernet cable. But if you have NBTevo_N or NBTevo_O, they provide the bin and you patch via usb stick.

Even our clunky corporate Toyota shuttle vans have full-screen car play and touch screen My 2015 is way behind in this regard. What a shame BMW always comes in late with tech stuff, as if an after-thought. Is there a way out for us poor 2015 owners, short of ripping out the old hardware and installing the new?

I reached out to Bimmer Tech re coding full screen CarPlay. Their reply is below (see attachment). Uncertain as to how one convinces their BMW Center to update iDrive integration? Daytonaviolet, suggestions?

to find out your version: in your car open the Navigation Map, then hit the options button next to the iDrive controller and go to Navigation Settings > Position and Version > Version Information |

https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...light=software It's not easy to make the dealer update the iLevel for free. You must have a specific problem that can be addressed by a new version. If not, just pay the dealer an agreed fee to get the update. Your version is from 2017, 13th month which must be a typo... |

Carplay Full screen
I used BimmerCode and couldn't get carplay to go full screen. This is what happened. Any ideas on what to do next for my 2017 X5?

I have no idea what version I have. My car was just in for routine maintenance and to fix a rattle from the A/C (which still isn't fixed) and my service advisor said the head unit received an update.

I'm not aware of any BimmerCode settings which allow fullscreen CarPlay. There are venders who can provide you with fullscreen. But it's limited to your nbtevo version. Mine is P and I was able to get fullscreen.
