Interested in a lease takeover on a 2018 Long beach blue with aragon brown fully loaded 117k MSRP car? I may let mine go and order a GT350. Mint with 8k miles and also with OEM snow tire/wheel set+ spare tire delete for extra storage (comes with OE spare too) I'd make a nice deal if interested!

No mods - ever. Non-smoker. Stored in heated garage. In NE Ohio.

Curious, but why aren’t you buying the ones at the dealership if they are priced what you are looking to spend?

You have had this thread up for six months, which tells me you are either super picky about the spec or are looking to lowball a member.

In my area, there is very little inventory, and the inventory I am seeing typically looks like the car was not well taken care of. I am very picky about spec, in the perfect world I would only want silverstone, black sapphire, or donington with black interior. I can't do red interior (which I see a lot of the inventory out there has) and I can't do carbon black.

Not looking to low ball anyone. I just know from history how quickly these cars drop in value. Looking to pick one up as a secondary car as well so needs to be a smart purchase.

Being so picky with you purchase (high optioned/well maintained/color combo etc ), you might have realized by now, it's not going to happen anytime soon. I think you should either compromise a little bit with you options or buy one at a higher price as they would depreciate regardless of what price you buy them at.

That's a smart move trying to buy from a private party who's about to trade the car in hoping you would get a deal. Just remember, people who trade their cars in would rarely sell them as they get a tax credit on the trade so you aren't going to find one which you have realized by now as you have been awaiting for 6 months.

Being so picky in your wants in the X5M, you might and you should cough up the dough and buy one where ever you find one.

No matter when and where you buy one, they would still depreciate so would lose money regardless.
I was thinking more in the lines of someone possibly looking to get out of their lease early or someone over their miles who would rather not turn it in... or whatever, just trying to think outside the box. I have seen some great examples and was very close to purchasing one from a member but because of certain circumstances had to put a pause on pulling the trigger, that's why this thread sat for so long and is now being revisited.

When it comes down to it, when buying a used vehicle of this caliber, I would much rather buy from an enthusiast then a dealer. I feel as though the guys who really take care of their cars, built it right from the beginning, and are looking to unload are usually somewhat reasonable with their price expectations and what the market demands for the car. And for that, I think a deal can be made, no low balls or bs.

From the comments maybe this isn't the platform to connect with like minded enthusiasts who are willing to help another member find a car for sale. Sorry guys

We are here to help and not nit pick. Having said that, posts where buyers are very picky, it always boils down to smart purchasing "budget buying" which is hard to do. A cream puff vehicle and smart purchasing, just don't go together.

Have you considered buying an E70 X5M? 6 months ago, I was in a market for one too but decided against the F15 X5M as with my specs they were still in upper 60's.

I ended up buying a mint and fully optioned 2012 X5M with 38,000 miles. However it wasn't cheap by any means and to top if off, I also purchased a 5/60 comprehensive warranty from a very good warranty company.

So instead of paying $68,000 for a car without warranty, I now have a 2012 X5M for under 40, which I can drive without any worries for 6 years albeit an older model though.

In my mind, I think that was a smart buy but I could be wrong.

I have also looked at the E70 and would absolutely consider that as well.
