Do TPM sensors need sync'ing?

Quick question....I'm about to install some 20" 469Ms on my x35i. They came with their TPMS's already installed. Is there a procedure to sync them to the car or are they automatically recognized?

You'll need to reset from the iDrive.
It does have detect new set automatically.

Installed the 469's, besides that the X5 looks 100 times better, it sync'ed and reset the TPMS without issue.
