PSA: Check Your Spare Tire PSI

Yesterday morning, right as I was about to leave for work, my TPMS went off like a Xmas tree. I must have picked up a nasty screw in my RF tire earlier between home/gym and back. Down to 12psi in that short amount of time. Anyway, bc I was still home, I decided I was going to plug the tire myself, as I never did before and why not! The screw was near the middle of tread and was repairable IMO. Overall, it all worked out well. However, I decided to check the psi in my spare in case the plug fails before getting a more permanent plug/patch, and the spare was down to 22psi from the recommended 60psi. My poor old pancake air compressor definitely got a work out yesterday between re-inflating the RF tire and spare. So don't neglect to check your spare tire psi from time to time!

60 psi? On what? I need to fill my tires, they all went down to 30 psi with the 30 degree drop in temp overnight.

From my experience I found it most convenient to check spare tire pressure (and slightly overfill) each time you change wipers or do oil change. If you develop that habit it should always be at a functional state.
