When is stage 2 going to be released?

Stage 2 will be taking advantage of the CAI so it will be released at the same time. No scheduled release date on the CAI but it is well into development.

How would you personally describe the difference over stock?

In efficiently/D1 as well as Sport Plus/D3?

Trying to get as much first hand information as possible.

How much louder is it in those modes as a % for example?

How would you describe the sound difference? Grumbly, aggressive, etc.

Thanks!

You can if you like and you will be gain power but the tune is not going to clear the the associated CEL the catless DP's give you. Doing so is ia violation of emissions laws and therefore subject to heavy fines and we aim to have a completely legal product line.

Can't really comment on the the various modes as I personally only drove the car when in sport/sport+ and the quick videos that were shot were the same but percentage wise for sport/sport+ I would say 20-25% louder. Its just a more aggressive tone.

The guys that have them coming if they haven't gotten them already will be able to give you a better idea since they actually have more time to play with it in the various modes and comment first hand since it will be fresh in their mind. I will defer to them and their comments.

Well ... I pulled the trigger! Ordered the Stage 1 tune + black tip exhaust yesterday. Anxiously awaiting her arrival ... and some Dinan pedals for good measure.

@ Dinan - quick question for ya. What is the diameter of the pipe that leads into the exhaust tip (the pipe the tip is welded to).

Can't wait!! on deck: Stage 2 + filters + intake

Stock outlet pipe is 60mm. Dinan outlet pipe is 70mm.

Let us know what you think once you get everything on the car. You will enjoy. Its hard not to.

Will running the catless downpipes with your tune void the Bmw/Dinan warranty?

I think bmw would see "catless" and just start laughing at your warranty request.

Will it outright void it, no. But it does make it significantly murkier. If the problem can be attributed back to the downpipe then work is not covered. That is the same for both BMW and Dinan.

I know quite a few dealers that will refuse work on a vehicle with modified DP's until the stock one is put back in as well. Maybe you have a different relationship with your dealer or they like to turn a blind eye though.

Do you guys plan on making an exhaust for the X5 50i?
