Are there problems which affects 2015 and 2016 more then 2017 and 2018?

I see some pretty big price differences between the years and my cheap side says to just get a low mileage one that's 2015 or 2016 and save a bunch of money. But I'm wondering if there are problems to watch out for that might have been fixed on later years.

Thanks!!

15 & 16 are out of warranty and included maintenance. That's a big driver of the difference. You see it on all German luxury cars when the warranty runs out, especially an M car.

I was going to go CPO 100 percent because of warranty so hopefully stuff is covered. But I don't want to even visit the service department if I don't have to. Maybee there are no major differences in problems between the years which would be a good thing.

I'm between this and the cayenne TT. I think cayenne is supposed to be pretty reliable but it's so damn boring to look at and the engine doesn't sound that good.

I had a 17 for 30 months and had zero problems. Lease was up last month. I miss it 😢. Best car I've ever had. Looking forward to the next gen X5M.

iDrive upgrade and carplay availability are too big differences between early and late models, but if you don't need the tech and are going CPO with extended warranty go for it. You spend money on tires and oil changes either way.
