New X5M owner!
Hi all,
Just made a deal on an 2016 X5M in Alpine White over Mugello Red. Only 29k km (18k miles). Loaded. Comes with an extra set of OEM 20" winter wheels and tires. Bought it out of province and should be shipped here next week. Replacing a 2016 340 Msport XDrive that I only had for 7 months. Prior to that I had 2014 Jeep GC SRT. I have 3 kids and own a construction company so the SAV will work better than the F30. I planned to do Downpipes and a tune and either the muffler mod or by-pass valves. For a tune looking at flash vs piggy back. Leaning towards BM3. Not a lot of posts on here about tuning. Will also get Xdelete as I enjoy some winter hoonage and will be fun to see what it's like in the dry with rwd. Looking forward to joining the community. |

Congrats... you'll be very happy with your decision! As far as Tuning BM3 is definitely the way to go imo and if you want a custom tune you'll have to find a tuner of your choice.
Mo @ DME is good he has a couple 10 second X5M's under his belt and I'm sure there's other guys out there but when it comes to going fast and reliability with these sav's the first names that pop into my head is dmetuning and Sales@AUTOcouture Best of luck to you and congrats once again..

Welcome to the club. I only joined 6 months ago, but loving the X5M. I have now turned off on the display the MPG as its too distracting.

Congratulations on your M purchase.
When I got my 2015 X5M, I did tune, FI downpipes and exhaust, Dinan air intake. The unit sounded incredible and was very quick. You can get the ECU coded to remove the service engine light, and if you do, have them take out the cold start, way to loud in a garage and neighbourhood. |

Thanks for the replies.
I ordered vrsf catless DPs and BM3. Just started driving it yesterday and it I am impressed. Have a temp permit on it as I failed inspection due to brake pads being worn too far. See my other threat on that. |

I plan to install DP and tune in about a month. Want to make sure no issues first. Will update once I do. If I have time I am going to do before and after Dyno runs.
I did an impromptu dragy run yesterday. Only 0-60. No launch control on, in D3 as I hadn't looked up how to engage it yet . Edit: Tried to load pic of dragy run. Didn't work. 0-30 1.59 secs 0-60 4.35secs 0-60 1ft roll out 4.18secs DA 6783ft. |
