Hi guys
I had a quick question ? I am looking to get the oem performance steering wheel however I am leaning more towards the one for the f15 ( the one with the red stripe ) rather than the f85 one with the blue stripe, I believe the f15 wheel itself will fit but no the center trim correct? Thanks in advance |

I believe the F85 trim will fit on the F15 steering whee as long as you have the front and rear pieces. r33_RGSport can offer some advice, he is very knowledgeable on these vehicles.
I have the F85 steering wheel with F15 trim so it seems logical to believe it can work both ways. Good luck!

Where can I source one of these wheels? And what kind of money are we talking about? The steering wheel on an F85 I am looking to buy is a bit gross and I would like to replace but I see these wheels are around $1800.00 here in Canada from the Stealership

You can also get your current wheel recovered. I bought a heated f15 wheel and had it recovered in alcantara (leather was an option too) with m-stitching. Now I have the wheel I wanted in my F85 with heat too!

I’m looking to get my steering redone with leather and alcantara on the sides. Who does this kind of job? Can you post photos of your redone steering wheel?

I just installed a Coby wheel from an f80 into my f85. Easy DIY. The wheel took about 3 weeks from order to my doorstep. I went with the performance style - alcantara with a blue 12 o’clock stripe.

Honestly, Colby Wheel is the best bargain for steering wheels for BMW's. I purchased mine back in 2021, after researching for an Alcantara M wheel from BMW $1200. And you literally can't pass up a well designed wheel from <$300.
Colby wheels utilize the BMW wheel framework, and reupholsters them using either Leather, Alcantara or both. I have a aftermarket steering wheel in my E63, that I had made in Latvia, that cost a pretty penny. So, I was determined not to spend that amount on a new wheel for the X5M. I also purchased the carbon fiber trim, and the blue buttons.
