Oh! That's good to know. I wasn't sure they would take the second owner as seriously about an issue like this. Will be bringing mine in.

All my doors had the same issue, Bmw NA was able to replace them once they had their rep inspect my doors !

Amazing news guys! Just need one to set the precedent!

Mine is in the shop now waiting for an appeal review. Will report back on Monday with the status update.

Can you guys that we're successful post the dealerships that were able to replace? It would be helpful to the rest of the community if we can reference when dealing with our own dealerships.

Mine was replaced by Autohaus Euler Kaiserslautern GmbH
BMW / MINI Vertragshändler.
I’ll look for the dealer invoice and post it if I find it.

Same issue with mine, noticed today on only the front passenger door. It rained heavily the last couple weeks and the car was driven once in hard rain. Pretty disappointed as the car is meticulously maintained. Reached out to the BMW dealer and will see what happens. My car is a MY17.

Sorry to hear. Same exact thing happened to mine, 2018 X5M, during that last Jan rain storm in Cali. Car still at the dealer trying to figure out a solution in terms of who’s paying.

As far as the issue, mine was due to all 4 doors vapor seals not being properly attached to the bottom panel. Bought car used so not sure how it happened in the first place.

Now that I am aware of other having the same problem I’ll send that to my dealership and see what they can do.
