Just got a '18. LBB and aragon. Blacked the grills and fender blades. Added mudguards and some comfort coding. May do the big brake kit for rears if when I have the extra coin. Had to buy winter wheels and that left a dent…

Loving the SUV so far...when my wife lets me drive it!

I don't think our vehicle has adaptive cruise control. Could that be correct? I though all X5M's would have it (ours is a 2018 model year).

How do I store a default setting for the driving dynamics system? Ours is currently set to: Efficient/Comfort/Comfort

I'd like it to be: Sport/Comfort/Comfort.

BTW, is there a way to store a default for the transmission shifting (ie., drive mode - D1/D2/D3)? And Yes, I have been through the manual...it is sitting on my desk right now.

No you cannot set the default upon startup. Upon startup default setting is comfort all around and lowest/tamest custom settings.

But you can totally customize your M1 and M2 steering wheel buttons for whatever you want.

For me...

M2 = D2, Sport/Sport/Sport/Traction Active (Fun during normal driving)

M1 = M3, SuperSport/SuperSport/SuperSport/MDM (When someone wants to test me...)

For the track, I engage M1 and add the M view heads up display. Helps while trying to focus on everything at a hundred...
