What Should I do to my Exhaust?

Hello, I own a 2016 X5M and I wanted to see if anyone had any idea about what I should do to my exhaust because I want to make it subtlety pop (not obnoxiously) on down shifts and so forth. The only thing is that I don’t want to change the entire oem exhaust system and I would rather just change the down pipes. I don’t have a tune as of right now, and I was looking into catless down pipes, but I was worried about my car smelling like absolute shit. I wanted to see if anyone has any input about this and if anyone put downpipes on their stock X5M and how it sounds. Please someone let me know what I should do.
